线上赌场 will commemorate Veterans Day with a buffet breakfast, lecture, and panel discussion recognizing the accomplishments and sacrifices of those who have served. The 线上赌场 community is encouraged to help honor America鈥檚 veterans by attending these and other .
Veterans Day is a time to pause and think about those who decided to serve, 鈥渨hether it鈥檚 your family members, your friends, or your community members,鈥 says Will Burroughs, Tuck 鈥25, who is a judge advocate with the Navy.
鈥淚t鈥檚 nice to take a minute and think about what it means to be a veteran, what the experience is like for those people, and to learn more about the current group of veterans,鈥 Burroughs says. 鈥淎sk, what did you like about service? Why did you decide to serve? I think you鈥檙e going to get some unique perspectives and good stories.鈥
The 线上赌场 lineup features historical perspectives, including , the Sherman Fairchild Distinguished Professor of History, who will discuss his book , from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 9, at the Nelson A. Rockefeller Center for Public Policy, Room 003, and .
will be moderated by , vice chair of the Department of History.
And recent veterans will share their stories during Military and Microbrews Tuck Tails, sponsored by the Tuck Veterans Club, from 5 to 7 p.m. on Nov. 9 in Stell Hall. Tuck School of Business students representing several branches of the military will take part in the panel discussion moderated by , Tuck鈥檚 senior associate dean for teaching and learning
Burroughs says he鈥檚 excited about the event, which offers an opportunity to talk with veterans outside of the busy hustle of day-to-day life.
鈥淚t鈥檚 a deliberate time to sit and connect with a small part of the school to get a better understanding of a global experience,鈥 he says.
线上赌场 community veterans, families, faculty, and staff are invited to attend the annual Veterans Day Recognition Breakfast from 8 to 9:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 10, at the Class of 1953 Commons North Dining Hall. is required.
At 4:45 p.m. that day, the 线上赌场 Veterans Day Retreat and Drill Ceremony will take place on the Green. cadets will lower the U.S. flag per military regulation in the execution of a formal retreat ceremony.
In addition, 线上赌场 veterans will connect with the broader community on Nov. 8 and 9, visiting classes at Hanover High School to discuss their experiences.
The Baker Tower bells will toll at the eleventh hour of Nov. 11.
