Every fall, Hindu people around the world celebrate Diwali, a festival of lights. At the heart of the celebration is the lighting of lamps, symbolizing the triumph of light over darkness and good over evil. ÏßÉ϶ij¡â€™s celebration this year, held on Oct. 31, was organized by the Hindu student group, Shanti, and included a service, or puja, outside Rollins Chapel, cultural performances, a vegetarian feast, and the lighting of hundreds of candles and sparklers on the Green.
